AMBA bus becomes the real inter chip bus standard in complex embedded SOC design. It is widely used in mobile embedded field due to its technology-independent and easy extendibility. By the research of digital audio transfer buses and interface standards, all the buses and interfaces are for specific applications, low extensity. They can not meet with increased requirements of mobile audio markets. Likely, MIPI organization makes the SLIMbus standard to stastisfy the requirement of communications among different interfaces and audio formats.This article is for the design of a multi-channel DMA controller. It can transfer different formats data on the SLIMbus by integrating the AHB interface and SLIMbus standard. It can improve the communication effort and CPU load. Simultaneously, it improves the audio processing ability of CPU. It can reduce the power consumption by dynamic clock adjustment, bandwidth allocation and eliminate the routing congestions of PCB by SLIM bus interface. VIP verification method is used to accumulate the verification process.
