The Research Of Communication And Management Of Meter Reading System Based On WSN

With rapid improvement of sensor, embedded system, network, wireless communications and distributed computing technology, wireless sensor network has become one of the hottest spots in recent years.By virtue of the functions of information sensoring, data processing, data transmission and receiving, wireless sensor network has a glorious future in its potential of various applications.At the same time, with the continuous development of management revolution in the water,power and gas market,the research on AMR is becoming a hotspot and trend.In order to solve the problems of meter reading system by hand in electric management system at present, such as costing much labor and work, easily making mistakes and inconvenience of meter reading etc.,superordination machine management system of AMR is presented and designed.In this paper, the first part completes design and implementation of serial communication of the star wireless sensor network system. The paper introduces the universal of serial communication at first. Then the steps of the serial communication are explained. And also the two ways to achieve the serial communication are discussed,that is,the way based on the MSComm of VC++ and the way based on the API function, and the two ways are compared.At last a specific software running in Windows operating system is developed for monitoring the real-time received packet of sink node,a output text file which stores the data information and frame ID(Identifier) is generated by the software at the same time.The second part of the paper completes design and implementation of wireless meter reading system management software. First, in accordance with the basic steps of software design, the data structure diagram,logic diagram, and flowcharts of wireless meter reading system is given.Then accomplish real—time data collection and dynamic image display MSComm control and multiply threads with VC++,SQL (structured query language)and ODBC database access technology are adopted by database module of the system.The data collected from the spot are stored in Access 2000.The technology adopted by the system has the advantage of high memory speed,occupying very little space and can deal with data efficiently.At last expound meter reading management, billing management, household management, system management, and advanced settings and other functions of the wireless meter reading system management software.
