This dissertation introduces a kind of Access Control Sytem that is based on Radio Frequency Identification cards. Contactless IC Card is one kind of new technology in the field of IC card, which is the combination of Radio Frequence Identification technology and IC card technology. Radio Frequency Identification technology is a new technology of autoidentification in recent years. Wiretless communication between reader and contactless card is their communicaton mode to identificate the goal and to swap data by radio frequency identifation.Based on the research of Radio Frequency Identification, the design chooses the TEMIC series contactless IC card of Atmel corp. and has developed its corresponding reader and controller. The reader is used to modulate, transmit, receive and demodulate the data. The data is written the RF card by the gap of the magnetic field. The data stream returned by the RF card is demodulated with Manchester code. The hardware circuit of the controller is composed of the voltage regulator circuit, the clock circuit, the circuit of JTAG and the interface circuit of keyboard. Core module is constituted by LCD displaying module, RS485 communication module and ferroelectric memory module. The paper uses binary system searching method to avoid the collision amony many cards. The program adopts binary search to complete the comparison of the cards so the efficiency of reading the card is improved and the time of reading card is reduced. Ultimately, the design implements the identification of the card, card displaying, record memory and series data sending.The Access Control System is installed and debugged in this dissertation. The practice proved that the design of the software and hardware of the device are feasible, the system run in common and stable.
