The role of journalist that is bond and bridge between the fact and masses is the most important link and subject in the process of mass communication. If wanting to improve the quality of news, we need to research journalist subject and analyze the peculiarities of journalist. People mostly often regard journalist as subject of news activities and neglect his objectivity when he interact with each link in the process of mass communication. Furthermore, we may ignore the contradictions and fusion between subject and object. How does journalist reflect the subjectivity and objectivity? What is the support of the subjectivity and objectivity? What influence does the kind of dual roles bring for the process of mass communication? How does journalist serve the process of mass communication when using the dual roles? In my paper, I put the role of journalist into the whole process of mass communication and analyze the subjectivity and objectivity of journalist when he interacts with interviewees, editors and journalism. Meanwhile, I will research the contradictions and fusion between subject and object. At last, I will state how to use the dual roles to serve the mass communication. I expect that my paper may be useful for the research of journalist subject.
