Study On The Modern Risk Management System Of Commercial Banks

Nowadays the development of banking is following the trend of operating internationally and comprehensively. Along with this trend, risks involved in the operation of banks are also becoming more and more diverse and complicated. Under the circumstances, it is essential for banks to strengthen risk management so as to survive and develop.As regards risk management, there is still a relatively great gap between Chinese commercial banks and international advanced banks in such aspects as idea, system and technique. The defects of risk management have brought about enormous hidden danger for the operation of Chinese commercial banks, and have seriously restricted the improvement of banks' competitive power. Strengthening risk management has already become a pressing problem of banks in ChinaThe risk management of commercial banks is a complicated systematical engineering project In order to take precautions against and control risks of banks effectively, we should not only adopt advanced risk management instruments and techniques, but also innovate the system. Only through improving corporate governance, internal control and establishing good risk management system can we ensure that risk management is implemented effectively in every business and managerial work of the bank. This thesis regards modem risk management system of commercial banks as the research object Putting emphasis on system factors and technological factors, the author makes deep study on the components, framework and techniques of the risk management system, deals with the measurement and management of credit risk, market risk, operational risk and liquidity risk of banks comprehensively and systematically. In view of current situation of risk management of Chinese commercial banks, this thesis discusses the design and construction of themodern risk management system of our commercial banks in order to offer reference for Chinese commercial banks to help them establish and perfect risk management system. The research of this subject helps to promote the effective implementation of risk management in banks and makes beneficial exploration for the Enterprise Risk Management in Chinese commercial banks.
