The Relationship Research On Industrial Cluster And Regional Competitiveness

Because of the limitation of the resources, how to cultivate the competitive advantage to absorb and get more resources to make a better development and keep it sustainable is a vital issue to the governments. And under this situation, industrial cluster and regional competitiveness become highlights in theoretical research and governments and they clearly say it is an important way to cultivate industrial clusters to develop local economic. But according to the current papers, there is no research focusing on the relationship between the industrial clusters and the regional competitiveness, no matter quantitative research. From this point, this research not only has theoretical value but an empirical value. Qing Dao, as the most important economic central of Shan Dong Peninsula, was named as "the most dynamic city of CCTV 2004" and "the most satisfied city for entrepreneurs". I'd like to say that there is a close relationship between the competitiveness and the electronic and info industry of Qing Dao. It is helpful to enhance the competitiveness of Qing Dao to make an investigation in Ting Dao's competitiveness and it's electronic and info industry.The research method of this paper is a combination of criterion research and empirical research. The contents include: (1) making an overall introduction and remark on the theories of industrial cluster and regional competitiveness (2) analyzing the system through which the industrial clusters effect on regional competitiveness: the inner innovation system helping enhancing technology competitiveness and the industrial structure competitiveness; the flexible production system deepening the open-up competitiveness; the cooperation system, the information sharing system, the competing innovation system and the differential production system enhancing the competitiveness of the enterprises; the innovation system in the industrial cluster enhancing and bettering the industrial structure. The paper explains the effects that the regional competitiveness does on the industrialclusters from the point of open-up competitiveness, government competitiveness and construction competitiveness. (3) designing the index system of regional competitiveness and industrial clusters and computing the specific weight of each index, making a Regression analysis and correlation analysis between electronic information industry of Qing Dao and the competitiveness from 1994 to 2003.The paper reaches a conclusion that regional competitiveness and industrial clusters have a positive relation. That means the development of the industrial clusters can enhance regional competitiveness, and regional competitiveness in turn can promote the development of the industrial clusters. Because the paper makes an innovative research, there inevitably are some defects in it.
