Study On Vegetable Processing Industry Chain Management

It is very vital for the development of rural economy to develop the vegetable processing industry. The development of vegetable processing industry has extended the vegetable production chain, enhanced the added value of vegetable, solved some problems such as the transportation and the surplus of vegetable products structure, region and stage and increased the farmers' income. Moreover, it has transferred many rural surplus labors to a certain extent, attracted the investment and promoted the development of interrelated industry. In recent years, the vegetable processing industry has developed in China. However, the operating efficiency of vegetable processing industry chain has been low. With the economical globalization and competitive internationalization, the competition among agricultural enterprises has gradually evolved to the one among agricultural industry chain. So, it is important for impelling the development of vegetable processing industry to strengthen the industry chain management of vegetable processing.There are some good conditions for developing vegetable processing industry in Pengzhou city. The vegetable processing industry of Pengzhou is representative. Taking Pengzhou for example, the paper utilized the theory of agriculture industry chain management, the theory of transaction cost and social network, analyzed the present situation of Pengzhou vegetable processing industry chain management with canonical, empirical, qualitative and quantitative method. From the analysis, the author discovered four problems which are as follows. There is shortage of efficient cooperation between members of industry chain. The flow of information is not expedite in the industry chain. The value increment ability of industry chain is not strong. And the logistics cost is high. Basing on the analysis, the author drew the conclusion and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions such as strengthening the cooperation ability of industry chain, intensifying the value creation of industry chain, constructing the information service system of industry chain, enhancing the logistics management and establishing the correlating policies etc.
