Real estate industry plays an important role in city construction. Buildings express the culture pattern, architecture style and tradition of the city. Real state industry influences domestic economy greatly as a new and fast developing one in China. The methods of multi-subject integration research and case study are introduced in this paper to find out a development pattern proper for Chongqing. The development history and contemporary situation are analyzed in this paper and the faults of contemporary researches pointed out. Mature theories of domestic and foreign researches are employed to analyze the situation of Chongqing real estate industry, based on wide rage of investigation and case studies. Factors resulting in venture are figured out based on analyses of production, consumption and exchange fields. And the problems of Chongqing real state industry emerge: unclear land distribution regulations, complex and inefficient administration process, the conflict between the planning bureau and the real estate industry, absence of laws for agencies and service companies, lack of surveillance powers, technical weakness, narrow financing methods, low quantity of real estate productions, lack of production standards, high price and distribution method lag. And seven strategies are pointed out in the paper: taking the chance of developing the west, promoting the real estate industry, reassembling the assets, cultivating large enterprises, enhancing investment efficiency by administration, making real estate industry a new increase point by proper regulation and legislation, satisfying various demanding by promoting adaptive productions, regulating the agencies by legislation and making assets securities to promote financing technique.
