"5S" is a working-spot management method coming from Japan. Many experiences indicate that it can bring significant improvement of all-round performance (such as finer image, lower cost, less delivery time, safer working, higher standardization, more comfortable working place, etc.) in an organization. Some Chinese enterprises adopted this management method years ago, but less accomplished. Most of them were anticlimactic or ended up with nothing definite. Why this effective and successful management method, which is called "the foundation of management" , doesn't work in China?The structure banding together time and logic is used in this article.
