W. M. Advertising Company is a private company involved in advertising agency business. Due to its failure to adjust its human resources system and procedures in right time according to its different development stage. Some problems have occurred, such as recruitment, staffing and other human resource motivation mechanism, which made W. M. Advertising Company got into trouble in many aspects of its business operation. Some employees are unsatisfied with the company, and W. M. is facing the difficulty of further development.Starting from the belief of respecting people and showing them the company vision, the author makes analyses and study on the human resources management in small and medium-sized service companies like W. M., by introducing the strategic management and human resources management especially the fostering of dedicate spirit of professionals. Therefore, the author puts forward some solutions for solving the human resource problems in W. M., which included two way communication, fostering and shaping team spirit and organizational culture, improving leadership style and compensation system as well as the fulfilling the self-accomplishment of the employees, enlarging the staff selection channel and improving the staff selection and recruitment. In this way, the author wishes to give some hints for small and medium-sized service companies on how to better manage the human resources management.
