The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between employees' perceptions of human resource practices (HRP) and organizational commitment (OC) for full-time firm employees in Wuxi. Additionally, the study also examines the relationship within 6 demographic characteristics (age, gender, education level, length of time in the firm, job rank, and monthly salary) with regard to HRP and OC respectively. A purposeful sample of 5 firms with 283 full-time employees is selected. In conclusion, there is a positive relationship between HRP and OC. Furthermore, there are some differences between demographic characteristics and employees' perception of HRP as well as OC. It is also confirmed that demographic characteristics is a necessary factor in the study of the relationship between HRP and OC. Implications Humanistic Democratic Managerial Practices and High Commitment Strategy are emerging.Cronbach alpha is used to examine the reliability of the instruments (HRPQ and OCQ). The Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple regression analysis determined the correlations between HRP and OC and evaluated how employees' perceptions of HRP predict OC in this study. Additionally, difference tests are performed for demographics on employees' perceptions regarding HRP and OC, respectively. The SPSS 10.0 is used for the analysis.
