With the introduction of basic concept of Investor Relations Management (IRM), the paper introduces the origin, developing process and recent development of IRM in foreign countries such as USA, UK, France, Japan etc. In the third chapter, the paper analyses necessity and feasibility of implementing IRM for listed companies in China. And then, in the fourth chapter, the paper introduces overview of IRM in China from 3 aspects. Using method of Content Analysis, the paper conducts a survey on the use of the Internet for investor relations based on the sample of 50 listed companies. From three stages model of Hedlin, most listed companies of China are in the second stage of Internet Investor Relations. So it can be estimated that the whole level of IRM in China is still primary. In addition, the paper also discusses how to systematically evaluate effect and standard of IRM. At last, the paper presents some specific suggestions to administration authority and listed companies separately.
