The residentialdemands both in quantity and quality become higher, with the development ofsocio-economy and improvement of living standard, and they become the momentumsof sustainable development for the real estate industry. It is necessary to conduct astudy for the housing market regulation of Tianjin with the purpose of its sustainabledevelopment.In the paper, we first introduce the concept, characteristics of housing market andits roles in economy, and conduct primary economic analysis. As a special commodity,housing has such economic natures as complexity, irremovability and durability thatare different from the common commodities. Housing market exists such marketfailure natures that monopoly, asymmetric information, speculation, and imperfectcompetition. Therefore, the government must regulate housing market. Then we studythe current situation and the weaknesses of Tianjin housing market from point view ofgovernment administration. And last, we propose the managerial suggestions andimplementations with regard to the promoting the development of Tianjin real estateindustry.
