The Effect Of Foreign Direct Investment On Regional Employment: Theoretical And Empirical Analysis

Since the deepness of China's reform and opening up, China become one part of the global economic and integrated into the trend of economic globalization. The total amount of Chinese utilized FDI has been growing rapidly, which has a profound impact on the development of economic and employment situation. But the distribution of FDI in China is not average, mostly focused in the eastern areas and the coastal areas compare to the relative poor condition in the middle and western areas. The uneven distribution will bring lot of influence on the regional economic development;meantime employment is an important index to measure the level of economy, there are great differences in employments in different regions, whether the two has some relationship and what kind of relationship they have, in the article I will discuss the issues theoretically and empirically.The first chapter is a framework of the article, which will discuss the meaning of the topic, the research progress in the area recently and the innovation of this paper as well as the method to write.The second chapter is the review of FDI theory and employment theory as well as the theory about FDI and employment.Chapter three is to describe the situation of FDI in China, including total amount, regional distribution, and industry distribution and the effect to China's economic development.Chapter four is to describe the situation of employment in China, including total amount, regional distribution, and industry distribution and the problems concerned to China's employment.Chapter five is the theoretical analysis to the effect of FDI on regional employment.
