Industrial Structure Changes And Economic Growth In The Central Region

There are six provinces in the central region. It takes advantages in the resource and traffication. It is the base in rice and material resource produced. But now it is backed up. This paper introduces the industrial structure changes and economic growth in the central region in the period of 1978-2004, and analyzes the problems in the region's industrial structure, according to relatively basic theories such as Industrial Ecnomics and Regional Economics, by applying a combination of four methods, namely positive analysis, normative analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, and following the basic way of "Putting forward a problem-Analysing the problem-Solving the problem". Based on the regional economic theories of Perroux's growth pole theory and Rostow's leading industry theory, the paper proposes some suggestions of adjusting and optimizing the industrial structure to promote the economic growth in the central region. Advice on the rise of the central region from the perspective of the industrial structure is also offered.
