Thought On Development Of Chinese Exchange Traded Funds

ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) was attracted by markets for a long time. Now, it reveals its mysterious veil. With the permission made by State Council, China Securities Regulatory Commission agreed that 50 ETF recommended by Shanghai Stock Exchange can be distributed publicly.The purpose for this move is to ascertaion the resolution which is " The Suggestion on promoting the Capital Market Reform and Stabilizing the Market Development" made by State Council, strengthen the capital market system and enrich the varieties of Secuity investment. In foreign countries, ETF has been confirmed as an effective and creative fund. But in china, 50 ETF is just a good beginning and attempt. If we want to consummate and develop Chinese ETF, we should make great effort. This thesis analyzes and explores Chinese ETF from the research which is on basic theories of EIF, foreign countries experience and Chinese current situation. This thesis firstly states the definition of ETF simply, and the expounds the basic theories and influences of ETF deeply. In the second part the thesis introduces the development of ETF in foreign countries, and then summariz the experience of ETF in foreign countries in order to conclude the inspiration for Chinese ETF. Lately, the writer find out the particular problems for the development of Chinses ETF by comparing Chinese ETF and foreign ETF. Lastly the thesis applys the basic theories of ETF to analyze those problems and put forward measures and advice.
