As China's accession to the WTO, enterprisers of foreign countries accelerate itsinvestment to China's retail trade. Under this circumstance, Chinese state-ownedcommercial enterprises will be confronted with huge challenge on the concept ofmanagement, the mode of management, the strategy of management and organizingmanagement etc. Then comes up with two different points of view, one is that themore open of the market to the foreign investment, the worse to the retail trade ofTianjin's own retail market. The other is that by the entering of foreign investmentinto Tianjin's retail trade market, the enterprises of Tianjin will be greatly promotedand find out good examples to learn. At the same time, it will also accelerate themodernization of Tianjin's retail trade development by attracting more foreigninvestment.This article was analyzed the positive and the negative aspect of the retail trademarket objectively basing on the background of the opening to the outside world inretail market and was affirmed the promotion and development of Tianjin's retailtrade market through the opening to the outside combining with the actualdevelopment and present conditions of Tianjin's retail trade market. Some proposesand strategies have been provided here on the basis of SWOT analysis of the positiveand negative aspects of Tianjin's retail trade market.
