Supplier Evaluation Method Using In Spare Part Inbound Logistics Area

The method of supplier synthetically evaluation and selection has been a key factor to decide whether the supply chain would be successful or not, especially when Supply Chain Management (SCM) has been developing into a multiple tasks and relationships network. To strengthen the competition of enterprises, comprehend the advanced theories and methods, build and upgrade scientific system of supplier comprehensive evaluation and selection, we should make the following clear.With more and more intense competition of the global market, supply chain management has become the research hotspot. In the same way, with the division of work of socialization and the development of global economy, the radio of outsourcing material in product structure will become crescent, then it is inevitable to highly demand for supply management. In this paper, on the base of studying supply chain management, the supplier evaluation and management on the basis of supply chain is brought forward and developed, the necessity of establishing strategic partner relationship between suppliers and manufacturer and the importance supplier assessment are discussed.The mainly portion of this thesis are illustrates the application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based on MATLAB in supplier evaluation. By using the tool of graphical user interface (GUI) in Neural Network Toolbox a feed-forward back-propagation (BP) network objects for suppliers' evaluation are created. As an example, 10 suppliers'model is analyzed here, to demonstrate how to build, train, and simulate the network.In the last part, this paper gives a verification study with a commercial vehicle company, provides an analysis on its current practice in supply chain management and logistics suppliers evaluation against the problems they have, and proposals for improvement in light of the analysis.
