Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University and Tsinghua University Press agree to publish a Mandarin-language edition of《MIT Sloan Management Review》. This cooperation will be feasible and expected to achieve great success in the future.There are mainly four parts in this report to prove the feasibility and profitability of this coming periodical.First, industry analysis. The periodical industry has been growing in a fast speed and has much potential to enter, especially in economics and management periodical market. The marvelous success of《PKU Business Review》and Mandarin-language edition of《Harvard Business Review》have shed some light on the Mandarin-language edition of《MIT Sloan Management Review》.Second, market analysis. After segmentation, targeting and positioning of the new periodical, we come out a detailed marketing plan which can push the sales and increase the popularity of the new periodical.Third, operation analysis. MIT Sloan School of Management and School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University can provide solid support in articles and editors. The mature distribution network of Tsinghua University Press can help the periodical go into the market very quickly.Four, financial analysis. The total capital investment required is 288,500 USD. The venture is expected to gain positive profit in January 2007 and it will take 32 months to cover the capital investment.Therefore, this cooperation will be a great success. Not only can these three parties increase their popularity and image, but also they will earn some money in the long run.
