Group management will be the crucial factor to restaurants competition, during more andmore keen competition of restaurants after China entered WTO. Most restaurants of Chinadon't establish perfect group management system. However, international restaurantscompeted with us own not only advanced management ideological system and richexperiences, but also mature system of group management. In view of the lack of groupmanagement of China restaurants, this essay makes a systematic summary which is based onanalyzing successful experiences of foreign.This essay consists of four parts. The fist part is explanation about present situation ofChinese restaurants, and this part also sums up the significance and contribution to study ongroup management. The second part makes a theoretical analysis to culture of groups and theform which the groups take during the development, furthermore the part sum up the practicalsignificance of group management. The third part analyses present abstacle of Chinese groupsmanagement which connected with present situation of groups development, then throughmaking an on-the-spot investigation on foreign restaurants, sums up their successfulexperiences and inspiration to us. The last part puts forward trains of thought of groupmanagement on the base of summary to the first three parts and the last part includes rationaldirectional, reason expansion, management innovations, and so on.
