Study On Regional Land Use And Land Cover Change And Its Population Driving Mechanism

At present, Land use and Land Cover Change (LUCC) is becoming one of the most important and interesting problems of the study of global environment change. The study of the driving mechanism of Land use and Land Cover Change is very important in the study of Land use and Land Cover Change, which is pointed out in the scientific research plan of Land use and Land Cover Change. There are many driving forces impacting Land use and Land Cover Change, while population is one of the most active driving forces. By using RS and GIS and applying the data of TM remote sensing images from 1987 to 1999 and related statistical resources, the author chooses Luoning County of Henan province as a case study and exploits the driving mechanism between regional population and Land use and Land Cover Change. The whole paper includes six parts except postscript and content of each part is as follows.Part 1: It is the preface.
