Efficiency Measurement Of Regional Innovation System

Nowadays, the characteristic of regionalization has become more and more obvious. With the deepening of globalization, the competition between countries and districts has evolved to the competition of regions. At the same time, knowledge economy and knowledge of technology have become the crucial resources. As an essential part of development of regional economy, region innovation has become a decisive factor for the sustainable competitive advantage and driver of economical growth. Therefore, how to improve the capability of regional innovation becomes the focus of theoretical research in the regional innovation system. The regional innovation system refers to enterprises, universities, research institutes, agencies as well as government, which participate in the diffuse of new technology in a region. This is a network system to create, store, use and transfer of knowledge, techniques and new products.If we consider the innovation system as an input-output system, thus, the input system is innovation resources; output is the performance of innovation. However, in reality, the scale of input of innovation resources is always restricted by the natural resources, economy and education and so on, and it is very difficult to improve in a short period of time. Therefore, in order to improve the capability of innovation system, the focus should be given the condition of existed scale of innovation input, to improve the efficiency of region innovation system.The research subject of this paper is region innovation system, and the research purpose of this paper is how to improve the efficiency of region innovation system. Based on a large amount of high quality papers, this paper elaborates the structure of region innovation system elements, the functionality of elements in the system as well as the internal mechanism and interaction of elements. Functionality of region innovation system and interaction of elements form the network of region innovation system. Besides, this network has direct impacts on the region innovation system.
