This article mainly discusses the development and application of Enterprise Portal, The information-based technology of the enterprise has developed into today, the new technology and application are always the research front and hotspots. With the deeply development of the enterprise informationization, the enterprise portal has already become one of the fields in which enterprise has paid close attention to most now. It is the new issue which the enterprise informationization puts forward in the time of electronic commence.Firstly, based on the analysis of current situation of enterprise informationization and the information resources management, the paper discusses the main existed problems in the process of the enterprise informationization, then introduces the architecture,function and characteristic of the Portal, and probes into the standards of portlet which is the core component of portal.The enterprise portal emerges as the enterprise informationization requires the following application requirements: Information Integration , Application Integration, Knowledge Management, Collaborative Commerce and etc, it can integrate the different application systems, business process, various of structured and non-structured information. Enterprise portal offers a single visit entry to visit through a uniform web-based platform, it emphasizes that regards user as the center, offering the individualize services, and it integrates enterprise resource and application. Portal is a new IT solution for Enterprise to push the development of E-business currently.According to the application field, the article classifies types of enterprise portal: Enterprise Information Portal, Enterprise Knowledge Portal, Enterprise Application Portal, and deeply studies the three different portals combined with the relevant principles such as:Content Management, Knowledge Management, Enterprise Application Integration. then analyses the difference between enterprise information portal and...
