| Flower auction means that auction houses auction flowers to make persons who are willing to pay the highest expenditure the new owners. In this dissertation, flower auction is categorized into two kinds. One is the electric auction which is deployed by professional flower auction houses with advanced equipments. The other is traditional auction fimiliar to us. At first, this dissertation elucidates the principle and working flow of flower auction and compares it with other auction operations and traditional rival bargaining. The auction mode is a vulgate circulation channel in the international flower trade. The market size,development level,pertaining technologies and service system of Dutch flower auction industry takes the leadership in the world for decades of years. Its demonstrative effect has strategic meanings of great importance to the modernization and informatization of agriculture in China. This dissertation also explains the planting, circulating,comsuming situations and relevant auction practice in Japan,Korea and Brazil.From the current position,the requirements for flower industry of China to realize spanning development are all ready. Our China has become great nation in the world flower production and export field. Though our flower industry has made great progress so far,many problems also exist such as low level of labour capacity, illogical distribution of areas and structures of flower products, incomplete circulation channels and irregular market competition and so on. Most of flower enterprises of small scale operate loosely with weak creative capabilities in techniques. The trade deficit in the import and export of Chinese flower products,which compete with foreign products by means of low prices in the world market. With the globalization in the flower trade, it is exigent to improve the industry level and international competition power. With our better standard of living, flower markets in many cities come into existence. But our flower industry still follows traditional mode many years, that is, flowers pass from producers (farmers) to wholesale markets to retail markets to end consumers. In this process, bargaining entities always change with more taches and higher costs, which result in the unreasonable phenomenon that circulation impairs the interests of producers and consumers.
