This article take Tielugou small watershed of Fengdu County as the study object, take topographic diagram, land use topic chart of the small watershed in 1990 and 2004 as the foundation, utilize ArcCIS8.3, Arcview3.3, the Excel software, carried on the analysis on the land use change situation. Moreover it utilizes SPSS software for analyzing the social economic database by Principal Components Analysis to find out the driving factors of the land use change of small watershed. Combine with the ecology theory, this article analyze the landscape pattern of Tielugou small watershed, then discuss the environmental effects. The results showed as following:(1) From 1990 to 2004, there was a greater change of land use structure of Tielugou small watershed . In 1990. small watershed land use structure dominated by cultivated land and woodland, cultivated land accounted for 51.9% of the total area of the small watershed, while woodlands 26.7%; but was cultivated land, forestland and the residential, industry, mining and transportation land in 2004, cultivated land accountedfor 44.8%, forestland accounted for 23.6%, the residential, industry, mining and transportation land accounted for 18.7%. In the research time, the proportions of cultivated land, woodland, grassland and the waters were declining, the proportion of the residential area and the residential, industry, mining and transportation land, field and the not used land were increasing.(2) In the research time, the forestland mainly transformed to the cultivated land and the residential area and the residential, industry, mining and transportation land, the transformed proportion was 17.2% and 3.8% of the forest land area in 1990; The cultivated land mainly transformed to the residential, industry, mining and transportation land, the transformed proportion was 18.7% of cultivated land area in 1990; The lawn mainly transformed to the...
