Financial Measures Study On Economic Growth Of The Yangtze Delta In China

Finance not only plays an important role in modern economy, but also greatly affects the economic growth. The more advanced financial development can give rise to the faster economic growth. The Yangtze Delta is one of the zones developing rapidly and full of vigor in China. However, facing dual competition at home and abroad, the Yangtze Delta is confronted with how to make finance play a full role in economic growth. Basing on the financial development theory, the author studies the characteristics of the finance of the Yangtze Delta and analyzes the crucial role of financial development by means of theoretical analysis and demonstration. Finally, he draws some conclusions and makes some constructive suggestions about how to boost the financial development of the Yangtze Delta.The paper is divided into 4 parts that can be summarized as follows:Part 1 systematically looks back correlative theories about financial develop- ment and economic growth, applies these theories to regional lay and points out the important role of regional finance in regional economic growth.Part 2 concretely analyzes financial development and economic growth of the Yangtze Delta by means of demonstration, expounds the role of financial development of this zone in the past over ten years. Through respectively analyzing the relations be- tween financial system and economic growth, financial opening and economic growth, the author draws a conclusion that the two things play a great part in economic growth of the Yangtze Delta.Part 3 describes the status quo of financial development in the Yangtze Delta, points out its advantages and some problems. At the same time, according to the practical situation, the author put forward two problems: one is that regional finance lacks cooperation; the other is that finance runs short of supporting small and medium private enterprise.Part 4 put forwards some suggestions from four respects. First, we should fasten reformation and development of State-owned Commercial Banks. Second, capital mar- ket construction including stock market should be propelled in a big way.
