The volatile components of15microalgae powder(Chaetoceros calcitrons, Stephanodiscus ehrenberg,Nitzschia closterium, Skeletonema costatum(NMBguh004-1,2,3), Skeletonema sp., Thalassiosiraweissflogii, Thalassiosira pseudonana, Phaeodactylum tricornutum, Platymonas helgolandica,Nannochloropsis oculata, Pavlova viridis, Nannochloropsis sp., Dicrateria inornata) which stay instationry phase,3marine microalgae culture liquid (Thalassiosira weissflogii, Platymonas helgolandica,Dicrateria inornata) and6microalgae powder (Thalassiosira weissflogii, Nitzschia closterium,Chaetoceros calcitrans, Platymonas helgolandica, Nannochloropsis sp., Dicrateria inornata) in3phaseswere analyzed by HS-SPME and GC/MS. All volatile compounds were identified by database and analysisby principal components analysis with the SIMCA-P software. The results showed that, the differencesamong15microalgae in stationary almost aldehydes(nonenal,2-octenal,2-hexenal,2,4-pentadienal) andalkanes(tetradecane,8-heptadecene, heptadecan). Alkanes has a decrease while aldehydes has a increaseand the relative content of saturated aldehydes increased first then decreased, the unsaturated aldehydesincreased and Nonanal increased first and then decreased in3phases. While the significant biomarkerswere esters, sulfur-containing compound and thiazoles in declining phase. Two esters, ethyl ester and2-methyl-2-Propenoic acid methyl ester, were significantly enriched in microalgae. The study by the culturemedium of three different growth microalgae found that the type of the compounds identified was relativelyless than that in microalgae powder, but from three kinds of volatile components of microalgae fluidanalysis showed that nonanal first increase then decreased which was similar to microalgae powder. Therelative content of dimethyl sulfide in microalgae has obvious increases. This study firstly step in researchon the characteristics of volatile components in different microalgae and in the differences in differentgrowth phases which could provid reference datas for development and utilization of microalgae.
