Recently, remote sensing technology has become an important means of acquiring and updating city height information. With a variety of new sensors have appeared in succession, means of obtaning the building height information are more and more. However, various methods have their advantages and limitations in the aspect of production efficiency and economic benefit. Synthetic Aperture Radar interferometry (InSAR) can obtain3D surface information and subtle motion parameters from the complex ground scene, developing the earth observation precedent with satellite remote sensing technique. time-series InSAR (Persistent Scatterer Interferometry, PSI) technique, which can cope with the decoherence factors and distinguish different phase compositions, and then retrieve accurate long-time slow surface deformation, has been widely applied in numerous fields. With the high resolution radar satellite launched, the PSI technology ushered in new development.This article from the actual demand of extracting city building hight, aims at exploring an effective method of extracting building height in the time series of high resolution SAR images based on time-series InSAR. Therefore, this paper mainly carry out the following work:(1) Introduce the basic theoretical knowledge of time-series InSAR.Present the basic principles and data processing processes of InSAR, DInSAR, PSI in briefly, and make analysis of an improved PSI technique:Stanford Multi-temporal InSAR.(2) From the statistical analysis of the interferometric phase,we propose a new model and algorithm for extracting the height of buildings applied on high-resolution sar images based on time-series InSAR.(3) We extract the height of typical buildings in Beichen district of tianjin with the proposed model. Comparison with field survey building hight to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
