Lacerta vivipara, is the reptile which has oviparous-ovoviviparous reproductivemode. It is a good experimental material for exploring oviparous-ovoviviparous mode ofevolutionary significance. Morphological and reproductive characteristics of differentgeographical populations that there is great variation. This article by field investigationand laboratory rearing method of combining the first study to the viviparous lizardpopulations in Xinjiang. The main research contents include: Lacerta vivipara Habitatselection of Xinjiang, daily activity rhythm, Adult morphology, Effect of Temperature onReproductive Characteristics of the matrix and the effect of temperature on larval. Themain results and conclusions were summarized as the following:Lacerta vivipara from Xinjiang closely related to the choice between environmentalfactors and the environment. In which human disturbance, food, soil texture, richvegetation cover, light intensity, natural enemy interference, the surface humidity, vegetation type, select slope position and shrub density and stronger..Lacerta vivipara from Xinjiang daily activity rhythm in the early spring period isdouble peak type, activity11o’clock to18o’clock, and14o’clock to16o’clock in theactivity spikes. Female, between the male and the larvae are in the kinds of differences tomake full use of time, reducing the final in the competition. Activity rhythms and airtemperature and ground temperature is positive correlation.Lacerta vivipara from Xinjiang population adult is smaller than that of Heilongjiang, larger than adult females, there are obvious sexual dimorphism. Female belly grew up inthe male, the male head length, head width, head height and hind legs longer than femalesTemperatures do not affect the Female Reproductive Characteristics significantlyaffect the survival rate of young female’s date of manufacture and the output. Femalesnest of head length and only litter size is positive, has nothing to do with their weight andlarval body condition. As the temperature rises, the female survival rate of productiondates in advance, reduce, and can lead to very low survival rate in low temperature24degrees centigrade.Temperature for the new-born larvae morphological characteristics have asignificant impact, among its different groups head-body length, tail length, head high, long forelimbs and long hind limbs were significantly different. Between the larvae growonly difference in a very short time after birth, this difference will gradually eliminate therapid growth period, after a period of slow growth into the differences completelyeliminated. Impact on the speed of movement of larvae significantly, there was nosignificant difference in24℃group maximum speed, room temperature, followed bythe group,33℃,30℃and27℃group.Habitat characteristics and life history characteristics of Lacerta vivipara fromXinjiang compared with other Lacerta vivipara populations have mutated, in which thefemale reproductive characteristics varied greatly, fewer spawning nest, individual smalllarvae, this may be due to the high altitude region is located caused.
