The secondary migration of oil and gas is a complicated process of oil and gas fromsource rock to trap. Migration occurs in the geological history and only left some traces in theformation. Driving force, phase, period and distance of migration are of great significance tohydrocarbon accumulation, but it is difficult to study. Previous research which were usuallybased on numerical simulation and physical simulation to predict oil and gas distribution. Thisstudy takes Putaohua Reservoir at east flank of Daqing placanticline as an example. Themature exploration area of oil and gas distribution was taken as a laboratory. Then theproduction data was collected to obtain the actual distribution of oil and gas. At the same time, the theory and method accepted by domestic and foreigen was used.Different types of typicaloil and gas reservoir numerical model was established, in rift basin, represented by Songliaobasin. Then self programming and commercial software were used to predict oil and gasmigration law. Input data during analog process was from basic data in different explorationstages. Simulation theory according to different types of reservoir accumulation migrationmechanism, such as classic anticline gather theory of oil and gas, and the theory of all kindsof subtle reservoir accumulation. With verification of numerical simulation results and theactual distribution of oil and gas, there will be a new understanding of driving force, channelof migration and migration law. Further, it is expected to solve the prombles, such asgeneralized, conceptualization and scales, in quantitative study of oil and gas migration.Research shows that oil and gas migration distance controlled by source rocks hydrocarbonability and the conducting conditions. A bombination of weak hydrocarbon supply and gentlestructure background can make short distance and weak migration effects. This study canprovide research method and thought for oil and gas migration direction prediction of newexploration.
