There is a belt-shape IOCG type mineralization along the pacific coast of chile and peru in south America, and the research zone located in the part of the area. The study includes an indoor collection of information, focus selection of prospect area for field visits. These general approaches include studies of statistical mineralization area, analysis typical deposit examples, find the mineralization law and ore-controlling factors in the study area and at last forecast the prospecting area. This article concluded several factors as follow. Most IOCG deposits in southern Peru are between S12°to S18°, confined within Canete arc basin. After analysising these typical magmatic ore deposits, this article comcluded that the igneous rocks is an important condition for mineralization, mineralization is mainly related to the calc-alkaline felsic rocks. The shape of ore bodies mostly are in veins, layered, layered-likely, locally lenticular, stockwork, massive irregularities. The boundaries between ore and rock are apparent. Core catalog, laboratory results and indoor microscopic identification show that the ore minerals are mainly magnetite, locally hematite, specular hematite, and accompanied by varying degrees of pyrite, chalcopyrite, molybdenite and a small amount of gold, silver and other metal mineral assemblages, mineralization is separated in times and spaces. Through core catalog and field geological mapping confirmed a significant ore body alteration zonation, complete alteration zonation is separated by deep Na and up part K. After exploration of nearly2mines-Rosemary32, Rosemary33, this article compared them with the study area and shows the similarity on stratigraphy, tectonics, igneous rocks, alteration, mineralization and geophysical characteristics of both sides. These2mines are considered Potential.
