In this paper,the Baizhangzi gold deposit in Lingyuan city,Liaoning province,which is a large scale deposit in the western Liaoning province,is taken as the main research object.After comprehensive research into geological,geophysical and geochemical characteristics and other geological data of the study area,but also the field geological survey,systematically,we analyzed the restrictive effect of strata,structure and magmatic rocks on the formation of the Baizhangzi gold deposits.We summarize that the geological conditions and prospecting clues in the mineralization system additionally.Furthermore,based on extraction of metallogenic prediction elements,a deposit forecasting model was established,and,the perspective of the mineral prediction area was selected.This study not only provides a scientific proof for further prospecting and exploration of the deposit,but also provides a reference for prospecting prediction in similar areas.Geological study of the deposit showed that the exposed strata are mainly Badaohe formation of Archeozoic and Dahongyu formation of Middle Proterozoic,Badaohe formation is the "ore source layer" of gold,and Dahongyu formation of Middle Proterozoic and Yanshanian granite is the main host rock of gold.The gold deposit is generally controlled by the compression-torsional fracture belt in the NE-NNE direction and granite body.The magmatic rocks developed in this area were mainly formed in the early Yanshanian period,and the output forms were rock strains,diorite,granite and meso-basic-acid dyke.The granite body of Baizhangzi in the late Yanshanian period was closely related to gold mineralization.The deposit type is a composite deposit of quartz vein type and altered rock type.Among them,quartz vein type ore body is distributed in quartz sandstone of Dahongyu formation and Baizhangzi granite body,with high Au grade,small scale,the ore body has obvious characteristics such as pinching and reappearing along the strike and dip,branching and recombination,and local expansion and contraction.The altered rock type ore body with large low but stable Au is only produced in granite body,which is large and continuous,and part of it has the characteristics of expansion and contraction.The research reveals that the formation of the Baizhangzi gold deposit has experienced three stages: pyrite-quartz stage,polymetallic sulphide-silver-gold-quartz stage and carbonation stage.Mineralization occurred in polymetallic sulphide-silver-gold-quartz stage.The geophysical characteristics revealed that the boundaries of diorite,granite and quartz sandstone can be effectively divided according to the physical characteristics and the distribution law of the induced polarization anomalies in the study area.The resistivity anomaly accurately delineates the dyke boundary of monzonite porphyry.The anomalies caused by gold deposits are characterized by high polarizability and low resistivity.The geochemical characteristics of the exploration revealed that the best combination of surface secondary halos in Baizhangzi gold deposit is(Au-Ag-Cu-PbMo),on the surface,the main banded anomaly with the concentration center of the above elements and obvious zonation is consistent with the concealed ore body,on the section,Au appears as a jump multi-peak anomaly.Mineralization rock mass,structure,geophysical characteristics,geochemical characteristics are essential elements for mineralization,sedimentary formation type is important elements for mineralization,mineral combination,structural are main elements for mineralization.In conclusion,this type of deposit is a medium-temperature hydrothermal gold deposit,and mineralization is controlled by strata,structure and magmatic rocks.What's more,the magmatic activity and surrounding rock provide the thermal power and material conditions for mineralization;Fracture structures provide channels for the migration of auriferous hot fluids and places for the deposit of minerals.From the perspective of regional mineralization and prediction,the metallogenic model and prediction model are established,and three ore-prospecting prediction zones of Baizhangzi-Miaogou gold polymetallic deposit,Houzhangzi-Badaogou gold polymetallic deposit and Duimianshan-Xiaohedong copper and molybdenum gold deposit are located.
