Guantao formation is river depositional system in Gudong area, river sands lithologictrap development, it is a typical sandstone reservoir lithology concealed type, therefore,strengthen the channel sand body identification description and evaluation studies can beachieved river sands exploration break-through in gudong area.The master Factors of hydrocarbon accumulation for Guantao Formation will beneeded to study on the the Gudong surrounding different regions, and the reservoircharacterization technology need to be improved and strengthened, which would be goodfor expanding the exploration area, we use the method of geophysical techniques to studythe shallow channel sand body according to the geological characteristics of the Guantaoformation. First, Studying the geological features of the surrounding areas in Gudongoilfield,then trying to deal with logging data and seismic data processing; Secondly, therefine tectonic interpretation of seismic data must be needed, in particular, in order toindentify the small displacement fault, using the forward modeling guides interpretion,application of characteristic value of coherent technique can help us to indentify the fault,then achieving micro-structure mapping; Thirdly, it is necessity to predict the reservoirdistribution, mainly technologies include root-mean-square amplitude attributes, waveimpedance inversion and gamma stochastic inversion technology, using theroot-mean-square amplitude attributes and wave impedance inversion to predict the lateraldistribution of sand body, using gamma stochastic inversion to improve sandbodylongitudinal forecast accuracy, using the above technologies greatly improve the ability ofidentify weak amplitude sand body that is difficult to track, Finally, using the high-frequency attenuation to prddict whether sand body contains oil and gas.the refine tectonic interpretations and coherent analysis technologies can help us toidentify the fault and enhance interpretation accuracy. petroleum formation tell us thecharacter of the oil distribution, which combine with strata slice technologies describespatial distribution of the4sand group and5sand group, poststack frequency spectrumclassification attributes identify the sand body whether contain oils.
