Urban Construction Land Suitability Evaluation Of Mizhi County District

Construction land suitability assessment is to evaluate the suitability of certaintypes of land issues when used as construction sites.Traditional construction landplanning often has some shortcomings and deficiencies,as over-emphasis on the shapeand layout planning,determine the nature of the construction site as the ultimate goal，then the planning becomes empty talk and land resource optimization becomes aslogan.Application of GIS geographic information system,played a very active role inresolving these contradictions and conflicts.Take the spatial processing capabilities of GIS technology as the indispensabletechnical basis for the actual project application，such as spatial data input and editing,organizational structure, spatial analysis tools, and data processing tools.Comparedwith the traditional methods,the convenience and accuracy of planning method basedon GIS technology has been greatly improved，formed a more perfect evaluationtechniques route and ensure rationality of planning.In this paper, take Mizhi County District Planning for example,analyzes anddraws on the theories and methods of domestic urban construction land suitabilityevaluation research work,as related concepts, related factors and indicators, evaluationtechnical route.Through the introduction of GIS technology-related applications in landsuitability evaluation, summed up the differences and relations between GIStechnology and traditional evaluation methods, and new changes brings to the urbanplanning. In practice,take the use of GIS technology to the evaluation of the suitabilityof land for Mizhi County new construction,in an attempt to show the powerful spatialanalysis and3D analysis of GIS.Carried out a series of technical studies applicable tothe analysis of land suitability evaluation，for example,base environmental analysis, terrain analysis, hydrologic analysis, the results of the three-dimensional display.InMizhi county district project，GIS technology is applied to be used in land suitabilityevaluation and it is a new tentative exploration,through case studies,we can made theland suitability evaluation methods which based on GIS come true.The application of GIS technology in Mizhi County district planning solve thevarious problems in the evaluation of the study area,such as batch conversion of dataand superimposes single factor evaluation results. The planners recognize that there aresome deficiencies in traditional planning work as using the past experience to guidework,and provides a more scientific analysis tool,has a certain reference value forfuture planning,and contributed to the planning become more scientific and perfect.
