The public GIS has been developed greatly with the innovation of the technology of com-puter network. Being as the digital information resources, geographical information associate-d with people’s perception has been widely used in the daily life of the public and become a n-ew way of life. Based on the above, it will be of great importance to research on the key technology and realization of public service to share information in platform of map network.In this study, the key technology of the public GIS map network platform was discussed i-n details in the following three main aspects: the data organization and management, data ser-vices and publishing, and data visualization. Based on this, the rich client API was researched and designed, in order to construct the framework of public GIS map network platform. In a-ddition, the practical applications of this platform were also verified in the demonstration pro-ject. The detailed work was the following:1)The characteristics of the data of public GIS platform network map were analyzed. Geographical spatial data organization and management strategies were also stated, including the construction of multiple pyramid image data system, the determination of block size, mixing index, LOD layered design simple vector data, and data compression technology and its index mechanism, forming a set of efficient spatial data organization and management strategy.2)The key technology of Web services and its implementation specification were also stu-died. According to the characteristics of the image raster data and vector data, the release of i-mage data was realized based on a Restful architecture style and WCF service, together with the architecture design and development of own Web server. On the basis of the study of open source Geoserver architecture, the release of vector data was realized. For the problems of service access of cross-domain, the function of the service broker was achieved.3)The core technology of class library of open source Openscales maps framework was s-tudied, and rich client API was designed and developed, in order to research on layer and con-trol class, realized the extension of API interface, and achieved implementation calls to releas-e data server and control design of basic map interactive.4)Service-oriented public geographic information sharing model was studied, and framework of the basic network map platform client were designed. We also have implements of th-e basic map operation and transaction function, and design the basic interface of network map platform, in order to provide a reference from for the public to build map sharing system qui-ckly.5) The feasibility and applicability of public GIS platform network map were also studied in the exhibition system of Uav remote sensing comprehensive network operation managem-ent and land supervision information system project of Shanghai. The research results and the insufficiency of the study were summarized.Moreover,the work prospects have been given.
