Research And Implementation Of Web-based Geographical Spatial Analysis Services

The rapid development of Internet creates new directions of development for GIS. WebGIS is one of the directions. However, due to various limitation of single structure, traditional WebGIS application mainly focus on provision of geographical data service instead of providing geoprocessing functions such as spatial analysis functions in the desktop application. Web-based spatial analysis service makes users easily to use spatial analysis and will not be subject to conditions such as GIS platform or location. It solves the problem of insufficient spatial analysis existing in traditional WebGIS application.Firstly, from the spatial analysis method, several theory and algorithm of spatial analysis method adapted to Web are introduced in detail in this paper, so as to achieve the required system theoretical preparation. After introducing the spatial analysis theory, this paper focuses on the data interaction under Web environment and the traditional XML data format exchange are summarized. A lightweight data interaction model based on JSON (JSON-based Lightweight Data Exchange Model, JL-DEM) is proposed. By changing the user’s data into JSON format, this model can effectively realize the data exchange between users and the system. After determining the data exchange model, the thesis describes system architecture design based on Web. It designs a data uploading function for users to change data with the system. Finally it achieves a spatial analysis system based on Web on the world map Anhui platform.The main contents of the thesis include the following four aspects:(1) Analysis and comparison of the commonly used space analysis method in GIS system, proposed algorithm model for Web services.(2) Researching a lightweight data exchange model for spatial data storage and transmission under Web environment.(3) Based on the spatial analysis theory and data exchange model, develop spatial analysis tools under B/S framework.Research and practice show that lightweight spatial analysis based on Web is a very useful feature, using it users can do the spatial analysis and need not to install specialized GIS software. So it helps to reduce the threshold to users and is also beneficial to the public to promote the application of GIS.
