The polarization of the nuclear spin of 3He is of interest from several perspectives. How to produce higher polarization of high-density 3He gas much faster has been the hot topic of research. It is found that the glass chamber itself is a crucial factor for the limit of He polarization. A high quality 3He cell is also the prerequisite of application of polarized 3He. This thesis presents studies about how to design and build the system for making a glass cell filled with 3He and hybrid alkali metal as spin-exchange media. The process of fabrication of 3He cell is discussed in this thesis at the same time. It is an important progress that the vacuum-filling system and the hybrid 3He target cell is made successfully in our project. Results are show as follows:(1) Glass cell and manifolds have been designed and made successfully for using under our condition of experiment. Process of making glass cell is researched and summarized in detail. (2) Vacuum-filling system has been designed and built and it has been confirmed that this vacuum-filling system can meet our requirement of design. Also, procedures of filling gas and the method of gas pressure measurement is investigated and discussed in the thesis. (3) We made hybrid alkali metal of Rb and K, which should provide a expected vapor density ratio (D) of K to Rb under a given operating temperature. Detailed procedures of mixing alkali metal is described at the same time. (4) A 3He cell with hybrid alkali metal has been made using vacuum-filling system and gas pressure inside has been measured accurately. We finally obtain 3He with over 50% polarization.
