The Research On Xiong Mingyu’s Scientific Thoughts

Xiong Mingyu is not only the astronomer and a calendar of Jurists in the Ming dynasty, but also a good confucian. Xiong Mingyu had a synthesis study about Chinese and western astronomer and a calendar of Jurists while he introduced them for Chinese people.When he learnt these knowledge,he reflected trational Chinese scientific knowledge constantly.After he reflected carefully,he introduced lots of good western knowledge into China for changing the shortage of trational Chinese knowledge. His these behaviors contributed a lot on the development of Chinese scientific knowledge.Domestic and foreign scholars appeared more than on study of historical figures which in the Ming and Qing dynasty. But for various reasons, the study on Xiong Mingyu is extremely weak. In fact, the study of scientific thought about Xiong Mingyu can help us learning some "little people"who is not famous than "big man"like Xu Guangqi and Li Zhizao how to accept western knowledge.It also can help us researching about the change of Chinese knowledge when they face to some western knowledge come into China. This research also can help us to know how to deal with some different between Chinese and western konwledge in the globalization environment. For these reason, standing on the foundation of historical facts about collision of Chinese and Western knowledge, using contemporary perspective to the analysis of scientific thought about Xiong Mingyu and learn how to deal with the collision of Chinese and Western natural philosophy. Trying to stand in today’s global culture influence each other in a contemporary setting down.Consideration collision with coexistence of different cultures and to learn lessons from what Xiong Mingyu to respond in case of scientific thought in the history of Chinese science development issues.In this paper, take Ge Zhicao writted by Xiong Mingyu as the center, first research is analysis the living environment and living background about Xiong Mingyu, and then described analysis the Ge Zhicao carefully.After these work,we can get the real scientific thought of Xiong Mingyu easily.. On this basis, we analysis the current situation of the development about Confucianism and scientific knowledge easily.We can also forecast the future of the development about Confucianism and scientific knowledge if we focus them more and more.,so make some contribution on Chinese and western cultural exchanges.
