Study On Technology Risk And The Ecological Turning Of Modern Technology

With the rapid development of modern technology and its permeation into all the fields of human’s producing and living, the risk roots in modern technology has gradually increased while human society has developed and advanced. The recognition of technology risk has its profound origins of history and thoughts, those sages’ caution, doubt and criticism about technology went along with the development of technology. The risk of modern technology is different from those in the past time,it brings human to the edge of destruction. Generated from internal and external factors, the risk of modern technology is time-space leaping, incomputable,unobvious and extremely harmful, it has became the most significant feature of risk society, and the origin of other risks. The expansion of instrumental rationality and the risk’s social operation result in a dilemma, bring the human society in the unprecedented crisis.The dilemma of risk society not only originates from factors of modern technology itself, it also comes from human, for the abuse of modern technology without constraint and restriction. In the ecology crisis of environmental pollution, resource exhaustion and ecology imbalance, along with the humanity crisis behind the ecology crisis, we can soberly realize all the human activities will influence ourselves in someway.Human shouldn’t sit still in the dilemma of risk society,positive actions should be adopted. On the basis of introspection on Enlightenment,Guiding the ecological turning of modern technology with ecological enlightenment is an initiative mediation on relationship between human and nature, and a positive way to cope with risk.After the above analysis and research, this thesis explores ways towards the ecological turning of modern technology from the aspects of social concept,technology activity and institution construction. This systematic project should firstly stand on human’s ideology, to realize the ecological turning of social concept,improving the development concept, technology concept and consumption concept;then should be implemented in technology activity, through the ecological transition of technique, enterprise and industry; lastly should be guaranteed by the ecologicalturning of institution construction,through the institution arrangement of government regulation, legal system construction, ecological democracy and public participation.Especially, to introspect on technology risk, criticize modern technology and advocate the ecological turning of modern technology, is not equal to deny or abandon modern technology. The radical objective is to restrain and limit the development of modern technology from the standpoint of human society’s sustainable development,overcoming and eliminating the adverse influence and result. It calls for all the human beings’ efforts to realize the harmony of human, technology and nature,through theory innovation and practical exploration.
