z201 well area of Zichang Oilfield locates in the center of North Shaanxi Slope in Ordos Basin. Its main purposed formation of exploration and development is Chang61-2、Chang62-1 and Chang62-2 of Chang6 Reservoir Group, Upper Triassic Yan Chang Formation. In order to acknowledge an integral and deep understanding of Chang6 Reservoir in research area,to provide a strong foundation for the next excavation of remaining oil and to enhance the recovery ration of oil reservoir, some researches were involved in the article. This article is based on theories of sedimentology, tectonic geology, petroleum geology, logging geology, mathematics and the geological statistics. The research took advantage of modern computer technology and geological modeling software and dynamic and static information comprehensively that comes from drilling, logging, and well testing,analytical data and drill stem test,carried out Geological Modeling Research on Chang 6 Reservoir in z201 Well Area of Zichang Oilfield。According to the principles of stratigraphic correlation,Chang61-2、Chang62-1 and Chang62-2 of the main producing zone of the study area were classified. the study area is the west-dipping monoclinic, and developing with north west to south east nose. Combined with the regional geological setting,using the analysis of well logging facies.To identify the study area,chang 6 is delta plain, which was divided into distributary channel, inter distributary channel. and primary reservoirs are distributary channel sand bodies. The strike of sand bodies is normally northeast-southwest. The main target in the study area is fine- grain arkose, sandstone is characterized by low porosity, low permeability. Reservoir in this area has the characteristics of multilayer superposition of development on the longitudinal, The reservoir in this area in the plane is not even a patchy distribution, Chang61-2 reservoir development is best, Chang62-1 and Chang62-2 reservoir development is relatively poor.Finally, on the basis of comprehensive geology study, models of structure, sedimentary facies, reservoir properties and other geological properties in z201 well block were established in Petrel, using stochastic modeling methods. And the rationality of these models are verified. The outcomes show that the conditions established by the phased model is more consistent with the geological knowledge. These work provided the geological basic for preparation of development program and the next reservoir numerical simulation.
