By means of the 3D visualized modeling for geologic body it is able to display the geological structure and tectonics within geologic body intuitively, accurately and comprehensively, which provides a digital tool for 3D GIS research, and opens up a new viewpoint for geologic body research. The results of the program design about 3D Geological survey and modeling in this paper can provide certain useful reference for accelerating the development of digitization of mines.This paper relies on the national geographic information bureau key laboratory development fund project” The 3D mine modeling method based on IDL and Skyline research”, taking 3D geological modeling method as the core to independent research and implements the program design of geological modeling and the results achieved are as follows:(1) Modeling method of 3D geological prospecting are studied, and based on IDL(it is a kind of interactive data language), the use of drilling data, realize the drilling histogram display; then using IDL object model, has realized the 3D geological modeling and integration of surface model and solid model; at the time the friendly human-computer interaction interface, has been designed for 3D geological modeling and visualization research, but also to generate the geological model of interactive operation such as translation, rotation, scaling, and achieve cutting, according to the information acquisition, texture map, and other functions, which can effectively analyze the unknown geological information.(2) In saying the modeling of pier ore block as an example, the program design of the test work, has a certain practical value of this design is verified.
