Development Of 3D Visualization For Wuyi Mountain Scenic Spot Based On Google Earth

With the development of tourist informationization, The young people gradually tend to the Internet to get the tourist information. However, The way is inadequate to the tourist scenic spot which provide the people the direct and real impression on the whole by using the traditional two-dimensional tourist map to display information. So the technology of the 3D visualization to the tourist scenic spot has become the hotspot. The paper used Google Earth API interface which is provided by the emerging-power Google Earth digital Earth platform. Then, Based on the basic geographic framework and high resolution remote sensing image of Google Earth, and integrated application of the SketchUp modeling tools, The paper completed part of the 3D modeling of Wuyi Mountain scenic spot. At Last, the paper used KML realized the standardization of multi-source heterogeneous data format and Preliminary completed the 3D visualization of the Wuyi mountain scenic spot. The main contents of this paper are follows:(1)The paper mainly introduced the research status of the Three-dimensional reconstruction, the 3D visualization and the applied field at home and abroad. And briefly introduced the general situation and deficiencies of Wuyi Mountain scenic spot in 3D visualization, Then, The paper put forward the research thinking which the technology of 3D visualization based on Google Earth can break the plane expression way of the traditional two-dimensional scenic spot.(2)The paper researched and discussed Google Earth API and KML. The former is used to realize the secondary development of the system and the latter is used to realize the standardization of multi-source heterogeneous data format. on the basis of the classification of objects in the scenic spot, The paper discussed the specific technique process of reconstructing different types of objects in SketchUp, including the land- form of scenic spot, real attractions and cultural landscape. And completed the model reconstruction to the objects of Wuyi Mountain scenic spot, At Last, The format of 3D model was defined.(3) The paper conducted researching and development of the key technology, on the basis of the study on the format of Shp, The paper analyzed the rule which can make Shp convert to KML.The paper completed the conversation by integrating the open source library of Shplib in the system. And researched real-time generation of KML by using network services of Http protocol, which provided the support to the data loading and displaying on the client-site.(4) The paper designed and realized of 3D modeling visualization system, according to the users’ need, making the target of the system and designing the function module of the system in detail. The paper realized the integration of the system and Google Earth by Google Earth API. And combing with the key technology, the format of multi-source heterogeneous data were standardized. At Last, All kinds of data were demonstrated and reflected very well in Google Earth, and ultimately the effect of displaying was improved in 3D visualization system of tourist scenic spot.
