Study On The Coordination Of Regional Marine Economic Competitiveness And Efficiency In China

Since China’s reform and opening up, along with people on the marine deepening understanding of the importance of economic development, marine resources are fast developed and utilized. And it has become a new growth point of national economy in our country. Eleven coastal provinces and cities belonging to the east area introduce to construct "strong province in marine economic" strategic measures in order to intensify the development of the marine resources, and strive to build a comprehensive development system. Marine economy is developing vigorously. But these areas mainly rely on marine resources and ecological environment. It belongs to intensive resource economy typically, and marine economy competitiveness and efficiency are not improved synchronously. Today we are pursuing economic sustainable development, so coastal areas should make the most of marine resources and accelerate the development of marine economy. At the same time, marine economy efficiency should be paid high attention. Thus the harmonious development between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency come true.Based on this, the article firstly describes the development foundation and current situation of coastal areas in China, in order to see the whole situation. And then using principal component analysis, clustering analysis and DEA method, the article empirical analyzes marine economy competitiveness and efficiency. In turn, combined with the results of competitiveness and efficiency, two-dimensional matrix is constructed between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency, and studies the coordination. This thesis analyzes the coordination of these areas in detail between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency. In the end, the path and measures are put toward in order to improve the performance coordination.Through studying the coordination on marine economy competitiveness and efficiency of coastal areas, it shows that the coordination between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency comes true in Shanghai、Tianjin、Shandong located in C, they belong to highly competitive and efficient areas. Though the coordination between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency also comes true in Zhejiang、Liaoning、Hainan、Hebei and Guangxi located in A, but their competitiveness and efficiency are low. Jiangs、Fujian located in D have high marine economy efficiency, but marine economy competitiveness is very weak. Only Guangdong located in B is the number two in China. But its efficiency is very low.The areas of B and D do not realize the coordination between marine economy competitiveness and efficiency. So Guangdong、Jiangsu、Fujian can take unilateral breakthrough path; Zhejiang、Liaoning can take the path of jumping through A to C; Hainan、Hebei、Guangxi can take the path of developing the advantage to make up the weakness gradually.
