Geological Features And Characters Prospect Analysis Of Gold Deposit Region In Hongqigou-Shenshuitan Qinghai Province

Gold deposit, named as “Hongqigou-shenshuitan”, a large-scale one found on metallogenic belt of East Kunlun, located in North Slope of sidepiece of East Kunlun and Wulonggou district, Dulan County, Qinghai Province, China. Various study on the gold deposit of Hongqigou-shenshuitan have been done by the researchers. However, ore-controlling factors and prospecting indicators of it are not clear by now due to the study is insufficient as a result of limiting of climate, geography, prospecting method and so on of this gold deposit.Based on comprehensive data collecting on this area and comparative achievements have been done by other researchers. The mineralization geological background, geochemical characteristics and deposit characteristics of this area are found out. Furthermore, mainly ore-controlling factors is summarized and prospecting indicator of this area is also established. Among its conclusions:1. The contribution of stratum of the region to deposit-forming is very limited. Intrusive rock of Late Triassic supply the hydrothermal solution and mineral resources for deposit-forming. Fault structure of orientation of west north to east south is the main factor for ore-controlling and deposit-forming of the region. It is plausible that it not only supply channel for migration of hydrothermal solution of deep deposit-forming, but also supply the direct site for ore-contained and finally control the distribution of ore deposit.2. Output and distribution characteristic of orebody are found out. Output of orebody strictly be controlled by fault structure of orientation of west north to east south and mainly occurs in the wall rock altered crush zone and footwall of upper and lower of it. On spatial distribution, characteristics of occurring with wedge-out, concentrated on section, compound and branching and so on are obvious.3. Genetic type of ore deposit and minerogenetic age are primarily discussed. Metallogenic stage is Indochinese epoch-Yanshan epoch, and the industrial and genetic type of deposit is belong to tectonic altered rock and meso-epithermal magmatic, respectively.4. Characteristic elements assemblage of deposit are Au, As and Sb confirmed through sample testing. The degree of arsenopyrite mineralization is strongly linked with the degree of intensity of gold mineralization.5. The indicator of prospecting in the local area is summarized, and prospect of mining and prospecting direction in mine and its outskirts are analyzed. The results showed that the mineralization conditions are good and mineral prospecting potential is big in this region. It is possible to exist some potential gold deposits, such as XI belt of in the direction of East to South extending of zone, xiwanggou and west of wulonggou and so on.
