Ordos Basin, a part of the North China plate, a superimposed basin within the unstable craton, was formed after Indosinian and under the intense activity period of Pacific and Tethys-Himalayan structural domains, and it has a special significance in the geological structure and mineral resources. The formation and development of Ordos Basin is the result of the interaction of long-term multiple plate movement. The basement of the basin is formed in the Archean and Proterozoic era, experienced a period of Luliang, Jinning, Caledonian, Hercynian, Indosinian, Yanshan and more other multi period tectonic movement cycles, with the effect of complex metamorphism, deformation and migmatization. The development of the basin experienced six major tectonic evolution stages, namely the Archean and the early Proterozoic basement forming period, the late Proterozoic continental rift development period, the early Paleozoic basin and margin depression period, the Late Carboniferous Early Permian Basin and collision edge forming period, the Mesozoic huge intercontinental depression development period, Cenozoic peripheral fault depression development stage. Basin development has gone through six major tectonic evolution stage, namely the formation period of basement during Archean-Proterozoic, the development period of continental rift during Late Proterozoic, the Depression era of basin and edge during early Paleozoic, the forming period of Basin and collision edge during Late Carboniferous- Early Permian, the developmental stages of large inland depression during Mesozoic, the forming period of edge faulte during new generation of peripheral.According to gravity and aeromagnetic anomaly, we suggest that there may be a North-East distribution of ancient rock in Ordos Basin basement, and its lithology is composed of Xinghe rock group and rock group Jining. We suggested that Ordos block appeared ancient land(nuclear) and formed land basement prototype. during Early Archean to Late Archean Craton, which is continental nucleus generation period of ancient land of North China. This paper collected various aspects of information about the Ordos Basin geological and geophysical data, including research reports, petroleum geology, regional geology, monographs, literature, etc. Understand the structure of the Ordos Basin basement shape and depth, through the inversion of basement interface and 2.5D inversion of gravity and magnetic profile. Analysis the differences and relations of the basement through the investigation of the history of the tectonic evolution of Ordos Basin and North China block, providing the geophysical basis for geological structure.
