This dissertation is based on the 908 subject in Fujian province,named The Bay Annuals of Fujian,The 70 surface sediment samples collected in Quanzhou Bay.Grain size analysis and geochemistry characteristic analysis and the analysis of clay minerals content are in process. Further analysis the grain size characteristics of the surface sediments in Quanzhou Bay, the transport trends of particle size, geochemistry elements characteristics, grain size effect of geochemistry elements,the distribution characteristics of clay minerals has been done.The trend of the vector diagramcomparequalitatively with the particle size parameters on the transverse. The relationship between various factors and trend of water dynamics also has been done.The results show that:1)Using two analysis methods of graphic method and moment method, the grain size parameters of the surface sediments in Quanzhou Bay are comparative analysis, the resultsshow that those two methods have the advantages and disadvantages of themselves when calculate the grain size parameters of sediments.And appropriate methods should be chosen according to the need of actual application; The result of sampling points of Q type clustering according to the characteristics of sediment grain size parameters fit well with sediment curves; further analysis the R factors for the sediment particle grade group, the grain size migration trends for analysis the possible input sources of sediments;2)For one method of calculation grain size parameters, the different grain size parameters, it has different characteristics in the transverse direction, and it contrast with the tidal vector, we get the result that it was obvious influenced by tidal currents. However, after the correlation analysis of the flow velocity and granularity of sample point, the correlation is weak and the reason is unknown, and it may be caused by other factors. But are quantitative analysis and correlation between flood and ebb flow, and did not get a good correlation;3)According to the Shepard triangle classification, the sediments of Quanzhou Bay are divided into four categories. The plane distribution with viscous clayey silt and sand are mainly contents, silty sand and sandy silt only in sporadic regional distribution;4) The grain size of sediments and most geochemical elements have a good correlation, Some was significantly positive correlation, some was obvious negative correlation, only a small number of elements and the grain size have not correlation;5)By comparing the element abundance characteristics of the surrounding granite, the abundance of continental crust, and the abundance of offshore sediments, it can be inferred that the sediments of the Quanzhou bay are mainly from the surrounding granite. Other sources may also disturb the sediments of the Quanzhou bay.6) Clay minerals content in the study area are in the majority with illite and kaolinite, the content of chlorite is less, montmorilloniteonly occupies a very small amount.
