This article was subsidized by the science and technology project (Project item: 2012B36/2012B18) of Guangdong Meteorological Bureau. Combined with the maintenance records (2002-2013) of the radar factory, this paper collected more than 2000 cases of the radar fault by comprehensively collecting the radar fault cases since the establishment of Doppler radar station in nationwide. By studying the distribution characteristics of each radar subsystem, this paper scientifically sorted and analyzed the cases of radar fault, so that the formed cases can enter the SQL database. On account of the platform of Microsoft Visual Studio NET 2012 meanwhile adopted C# programming language, JavaScript and html script, we established a radar fault cases’ collection and inquiry system of the new generation based on the B/S structure by taking ⅡS as the web server, Sqlserver 2008 as the database management system.This paper mainly introduced the design and implementation method of the radar fault cases’ collection platform and extended the relevant working content of the Doppler’s weather radar. The function module of fault cases is constituted of the common fault in radar systems which are:classification of defects module, fault cases inquire cases module, fault cases storage and edition module and some static webpage that related with radar business. This paper built the platform by the following techniques:(1) Build a radar fault cases database based on SQLBased on the description of each radar station’s fault phenomenon, we extract the alarm code and alarm information in both Chinese and English from the alarm table, and then determine the structure of the database’s fault information table, which including in total the following 12 fields:alarm code, alarm information in both Chinese and English, station number, station name, the fault start time, fault end time, fault description, fault handling, manufactures and station processing personnel. In addition to the fault information table, we have established the comparison table for the alarm information in both Chinese and English and the user’s table, so that when we add in the corresponding alarm code, the alarm information in both Chinese and English can be added to the comparison table and the user’s personal information be added to the user’s table.(2) Dynamic page programmingThe code behind adopted C#.NET programming language, processed the interactive manipulation through ADO.NET and SQL database based on the ASP.NET platform, all the following function of primary case inquire module, case storage and edition module, classification of display module have been realized. The front code design adopted the HTML scripting language, design the UI based on the ASP.NET, the interface was layout by adopting DIV+CSS or Frameset frame.(3)Static page designWe have systemized the radar operation service in a full range and refine a static webpage which including:receiver, the test philosophy, test method and the instrument usage of transmitter systems’key test point; the key indicators’testing of weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance, the installment and maintenance of relative software; the relative software installment, parameter configuration and use skills of RDA computer software operation, RDASC, PUP. PUPC, UCP, RPGCD, TRAD, RSCTS under the environment of LINUX; the preservation and reorganization of radar date, the maintenance report forms of radar, the quality report forms and the spare parts management of radar equipment, etc.When new fault occurs, one can query other people’s maintenance experience through the fault case module for further inherit and reuse; and deposit the new cases into the database through the fault cases module for the convince of later query and second time development meanwhile extend the cases’database with the time passing by, while the radar in normal operation, the maintenance personnel can further learn the relevant knowledge about radar by the classification of common defects module and other static web page relevant to business. After the web platform’s generalization and usage in Guangdong province, each individual station was reflected the practical function, abundant database resources, various kinds of search condition on the WEB platform, the user can choose the query condition according to the particular cases of the station, all the stations think the WEB platform plays a very good reference role for the fault location by radar operators. In addition, the relevant radar business content in WEB platform has also a certain reference to the daily maintenance of the station.
