| Doppler weather radar,which has the properties of high spatial,temporal resolution and wide coverage,can make up the shortcomings of conventional meteorological data in distribution of time interval and space,becoming an important source of meteorological data.Since the development of the weather observation service in that area,scholars from various countries have done great research in radar rainfall estimation methods,proposing some related new methods to estimate the rainfall and launching some relevant Service tests.In this paper,Guangdong Province as an example,great improvements have been done in the shortcomings of the existing Kalman Filter in rainfall estimation,and the improved Kalman Filter has been introduced to the estimation of the total regional total precipitation,aiming to improve the accuracy of rainfall estimation and enhance spatial distribution of precipitation.(1)This paper focuses on the relevant principles of the Kalman Filter algorithm as well as it’s present situation of research and application in the field of Meteorology.In the light of Kalman Filter estimation accuracy problems in practical application,the paper raise a Kalman improved filter algorithm.Introducing multiplication in Kalman Filtering process instead of tedious gain and error calculation to improve the accuracy of estimating Kalman Filtering algorithm of precipitation.And the improved algorithm has undergone comparative test and analysis by using the Doppler weather radar data and the data of automatic weather stations on the six heavy precipitation process in Guangdong.(2)This paper introduces the improved Kalman Filter into the estimation of the total regional precipitation.It has done experiment on a heavy rainfall process in Guangdong on March 20,2013 by using rain gauge data of automatic weather stations in Guangdong and Doppler weather radar reflectivity data products in Guangzhou.Starting from the total amount of precipitation estimation accuracy and the distribution of space,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the results from Kalman Filter,Z-I relations act and improved Kalman Filter algorithm.The results show that:the improved Kalman algorithm to practical application of Doppler weather radar estimates of rainfall,rainfall intensity detection results in comparison with the actual situation,compared with the Kalman Filtering estimation method,to estimate the stability and estimation accuracy.The total amount of regional rainfall estimation,it can make up the automatic weather station space distribution of total,reflect the distribution of regional precipitation in a large range. |
