The sources of ore-forming materials in the Dogai Coring Salt Lake have been not studied so far. Based on Dogai Coring Salt Lake analysis of water chemical characteristics, combined with the surrounding areas Jurassic strata, calcium salt water springs, hot springs, travertine and other relevant data analysis, and using the characteristics of hydrogen, oxygen and strontium isotopic comparison method,this paper preliminary discusses the sources of ore-forming materials of lithium and potassium deposits.In the end,the metallogenic model is obtained. The data show that lithium chloride and potassium chloride have a good grade in the Dogai Coring Salt Lake,which has reached a large scale;Its materials sources are multi-original, part from the deep, and the other from the surface; Five rivers play an important role on mineralization;Calcium salt water springs is mainly from atmospheric precipitation, which can be inferred the groundwater type is brine leached;salt materials in the hot springs may be derived from the deep of the remelting magma, and the salt materials in the calcium salt water springs may mainly comes from the deep of the Jurassic strata; The three coefficients have a significant abnormal, coupled with a large number of surrounding plaster layer, indicating that the Qiangtang Basin, there may be deep Jurassic salt; Dogai Coring Salt Lake belongs rift lake around faults widespread, the faults produce many hot deposition and hydrothermal activity, which not only provide a rich lithium and potassium sources of substances, but also provide a good storage space; The volcanic activities produce a lot of high-potassium volcanic rocks in the Cenozoic, Lithium and potassium continue to converge from ancient times. Based on the above, we derive the Dogai Coring Salt Lake mineralization model:from pan-lake period, by the leaching of Jurassic strata, travertine and Cenozoic volcanic rocks, Dogai Coring Salt Lake get important sources of surface materials;owing to Qinghai-Tibet Plateau continental collision, a lot of late Cenozoic melt and remelting magma appeared. Lithium and potassium substances may be derived from the remelting of deep magma in the hot springs.and lithium and potassium in the salt water springs may come mainly from deep Jurassic, Dogai Coring Salt Lake gets important sources of deep materials. Special structural conditions in Dogai Coring result in a lot of structural cracks and joints, which are not only conducive to lithium and potassium deposits formation,evolution and Storage, but also control the sources of ore-forming materials and make for the salinity enrichment of surface water, groundwater and infiltration water. Dogai Coring Salt Lake continues to evaporation, and ultimately turns into large lithium and potassium deposits.
