Lithium brine deposits of China are mainly located at Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,which have huge reserves and economic value.Thus,many researchers pay high attention to the questions about themetallogenic mechanism of lithium brine deposits.Laguocuo Salt Lake,located at the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,the reserves of LiCl about 232.20 wt and belongs to the large lithium brine deposit.Therefore,it is particularly significant to study the metallogenic mechanism of lithium in the Laguocuo Salt Lake.In this paper,I collected all kinds of documents and then sampled the waters,sediments,bedrocks and travertines in the field.Moreover,I carried out the measurements of the element concentration,hydrchemistry,isotope ratio?oxygen,hydrogen and carbon?in the laboratory.From all of above,the main results can be summaried as follows:1.The hydrogeochemical properties of recharge waters?rivers,brackish springs and warm springs?in Laguocuo Salt Lake.Among them,the source of the Suomeizangbu River,the main river of Laguocuo Salt Lake,is meteoric precipitation.The component of Suomeizangbu River comes from bedrock weathering and carbonate clay dissolution.The brackish springs come from meteoric water,and were affected by underground brine.The high concentration of As and HCO3-in warm spring show that it probably comes from the dissolution of carbonate in the deep.2.Definite the sources of lithium in the Laguocuo Salt Lake.Firstly,the river waters were influenced by physical and chemical weathering of bedrock.Secondly,thegroundwaters were recharged by hydrothermal cycle alterationwall-rock.Travertine,the product of hydrothermal cycle alteration,is origin of hydrothermal activity.Combined with the distribution of faults,indicate that the tectonic activity in this area was intense in the early.Therefore,deep lithium bearing warm spring were the main source in the Laguocuo Salt Lake.3.Proposes the metallogenic mechanism of lithium in Laguochuo Salt Lake,?1?Drought and high evaporation ratio climatic conditions,?2?Relatively low-lying closed tectonic basin,?3?Frequent hydrothermal activity,?4?Various lithiumsources.Finally,the formation of lithium in Laguocuo Salt Lake belong to the typical alpine deep basin mineralization model.
